The concert I watched was called Hardcore Devo featuring the band Devo. I have to say that they were pretty good and I was into it a lot and these guys are like in their 70's now. When they came out originally back in the 1970's I have to say that I didn't appreciate them then and that's because I was a wet ears innocent teenager back then. I saw them at a Knebworth outdoor Festival back in 1978 what a lineup that was Brand X, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Jefferson Starship, Devo, & Genesis at the top of the bill. I wasn't into the new wave thing at all back then I was into the more progressive heavier bands and the Jazz/Fusion thing. Devo didn't go down too well at that event what with that lineup of bands they had to compete with it was the wrong gig for them. I was watching the beer cans being hurled at them while they were doing their set. But I'm older and wiser now and I do like their music now whenever I have the urge to listen to them. I have to say that they were ahead of their time and some folks were just not ready for them back then including myself. Thats all I have to say on the subject plus support the Independent Musician and keep Music Live.
