Today we are going to be talking about Stress Management. For those who are not fully aware of what stress management is, Stress Management is a wide spectrum of techniques and psychotherapies aimed at controlling a person's level of stress, especially chronic stress, usually for the purpose of and for the motivation of improving everyday functioning. According to the American Institute of Stress in a 2019 study, about 55% of Americans suffer from stress on a daily basis, and 83% of workers suffer from workplace stress. There is also a high correlation between stress and depression. With similar statistics spreading around the world, it is important for individuals to learn how to manage their stress in order to not feel overwhelmed. Developing stress relieving habits such as regular exercise, meditation, and practicing mindfulness are some examples of how to conquer stress on a daily basis.
